Mstislav Yaroslavich Nemoy, Prince of Peresopnytsia, Prince of Halych, Prince of Lutsk, was born 1155 in Lutsk, Volyn Oblast, Ukraine to Yaroslav II Izyaslavich of Kiev (c1127-c1180) and died 1226 of unspecified causes.
Mstislav Yaroslavich the Nemo (c1155-1227) - Prince of Peresopnytsia (1180-1220), Prince of Halych (1212-1213), Prince of Lutsk (c1220-1226). He was the younger son of Yaroslav Izyaslavich of Kiev.
Biography
In 1183, Mstislav participated with Svyatoslav Vsevolodovich of Kiev and , Rurik Rostislavich , Galician and Pereyaslav armies on a campaign against the Polovtsians, which ended in victory on the river Oryol. In 1207, he went to Vladimir-Volynsky with Aleksandr Vsevolodovich and, thereafter, in 1211, together with the Hungarians, Poles and other princes of Volhynia to help Daniil Romanovich of Halych in the struggle against Prince Vladimir of Galich and his brother Roman .
After the expulsion by the Galician boyars of Daniil and his mother and their second resettlement in Galicia by the Hungarian king Andrash II Arpad, Mstislav was invited to Galich by the boyars in 1212.. Daniil and his mother fled to Hungary, the king again went to Galich. Mstislav was expelled, and the throne was briefly occupied by the boyar Vladislav Kormilich . Almost immediately Cracow prince Leshek White organized a campaign against Galich, in which Mstislav's troops also participated.
On the death of his elder brother Ingvar (about 1220) Mstislav took the throne of the Principality of Lutsk throne, leaving Peresopnytsia behind him.
In 1223 Mstislav together with Daniel participated in the battle of the Kalka River, in which two of his nephews were killed: Izyaslav Ingvarevich and Svyatoslav Ingvarevich.
Before his death bequeathed the Principality of Lutsk to [[Daniil Romanovich, instructing him to leave it to his son Ivan, who died after a few years, in violation of the rights of his older nephews Yaroslav and Vladimir. Yaroslav took Lutsk, but gave it to Daniel in exchange for other possessions .
