Nathan Warren, Sr. was born 29 March 1757 in Sharon, Litchfield County, Connecticut to Nathaniel Warren (1721-1789) and Jemima Fuller (1731-1765) and died 1827 Thompson, Geauga County, Ohio of unspecified causes. He married Persis Sumner (1761-1855) August 1783 in Wells, Rutland County, Vermont.

Biography

Nathan Warren, Sen. was born in 1757, probably March 29, to Jabez Warren II and Susanna Walker, the middle of 3 known children.

In August of 1783 he married Persis Sumner, and they had 8 known children: Persis, Ithamer, Walter, Ebenezer, Nathan Jr., Orrin, Horace & Harriet. According to "A History of the Town of Orwell, VT" by Doris Bishop, the family was Baptist.

During the War of 1812, Nathan Sr. was in the Battle of Plattsburgh, NY, on Sep. 11, 1814 (also known as the Battle of Lake Champlain). His wife states in her widow's pension application that 4 of their sons were in the same battle: Ithamer, Walter, Nathan Jr. & Orrin.
