Nathaniel Ames was born 9 October 1677 in Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States to John Ames (1647-1726) and Sarah Willis (1651-1711) and died 17 July 1770 Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States of unspecified causes. He married Susanna Howard (1680-1767) 2 December 1702 in Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States.
Nathaniel Eames was taken prisoner, along with Daniel Warren, by the Indians during the French and Indian Wars and was taken to Canada in captivity. The were captured in 1746 at Fort Massachusetts, Berkshire County.
