Biography
Nicholas Poyntz was born circa 1507 to Anthony Poyntz (1480-1535) and Elizabeth Huddersfield (c1481-bef1528) and died circa 28 November 1556 Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England, United Kingdom of unspecified causes. He married Joan Berkeley (c1510-1563) 1528 JL .
In 1539 and 1545 he served as High Sheriff of Gloucestershire and in 1547 represented Gloucestershire in Parliament as a Knight of the Shire.
