- Lucius M Boltwood traveled extensively in the mid 1800's researching all families surnamed NOBLE. He wrote and published a book named "Noble Genealogy" in 1878, a copy of which I have in my possession. There are 879 pages containing many details. By Bryan Isaacson, a grandson of Lottie Ethel Noble, who was a daughter of Benjamin Noble, and a granddaughter of Joseph Bates Noble. Pages 367 -505 are all about Matthew.
