Nun England was born about 1760 in Pennsylvania. He served in the Chester County Militia during the American Revolution. Nun is recorded to have served as a private in the 1st West Bradford Company of the 3rd Battalion of the Chester County Militia in 1782 under Captain Thomas Carpenter. The 3rd Battalion was commanded by Lt. Col. John Hannum. On May 27, 1784, Nun is recorded as serving in the First Company 7th Battalion of the Chester County Militia. In 1787, he is recorded as serving in the military of Pennsburg Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania under Captain Joseph Mendenhall.
Nun married Margaret during or after the American Revolution. They moved to Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania in 1800 with their five children. The county later split, and they lived in the section that became Clearfield County. On April 29, 1809, Nun was granted 400 acres of land in Clearfield County. Nun died in 1835 in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
