Oleg Svyatoslavich of Kursk was born 1185 to Svyatoslav Olgovich of Rylsk (1167-1196) and Evdokia and died 1230 of unspecified causes.

Oleg Svyatoslavich of Kursk(c1997-c1230)[1])) - Prince of Kursk, a descendant of Oleg Svyatoslavich, the ancestor of the Princes of Chernigov and Princes of Novgorod-Seversky, is mentioned by that name as a participant in the battle of the Kalka River in 1223 у[2] and wars in 1226[3] .

As a rule, it is considered [4][5][6][7] that in the events of 1220-ies Oleg Igorevich, the son of Igor Svyatoslavich , who was superior to Mikhail by seniority, participated .

According to A.A. Gorsky [7] after Mstislav Svyatoslavich's death in the battle of the Kalka River Konstantin Olgovich was Prince of Chernigov, and the feud in 1226 was timed to his death and touched the Principality of Chernigov.

According to L. Voitovich [8], Oleg of Kursk was the son of Svyatoslav Olgovich, prince of Rylsk, a participant in the Polovtsian campaign in 1185, in 1226 tried to violate the agreements of the Council of Chernigov (1206), but was defeated by Mikhail Vsevolodovich (grandson of Svyatoslav Vsevolodovich) at help of the troops Vladimir. At the same time, L.Voytovich believes that Oleg Svyatoslavich (son of Svyatoslav Vsevolodovich) died in 1204, Oleg Igorevich (son of Igor Svyatoslavich ) died in 1205 , and the Novgorod Prince of Novgorod in the period from 1212 or 1215 to 1239 was Mstislav Glebovich (grandson of Svyatoslav Vsevolodovich).

Marriage and children
