Edd was born January 18, 1947 in Camden, ME.
Edd attended the Mary E. Taylor Elementary School from September 1952 through June 1960; and Camden High School from September 1960 through June 1965.
He delivered the Portland Press Herald from 1959 until 1965. He was selected as the Young Columbus paper carrier and won a trip to Italy where he visited Milan, Venice, Florence and Rome.
After graduation, Edd attended the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL, from September 1965 until June 1967.
In Novemer 1967 Edd joined the Navy where he was a Cryptologic Technician until 1976 when he received a commission as an Ensign (ENS). Edd Retired from the Navy in July 1988 as a Lieutenant Commander (LCDR).
After retiring from the Navy, Edd worked as a software engineer for SAIC until 1993, when he went to work for Technical Software Services, Inc. (TECHSOFT) where he worked as the Chief Engineer until August 2012.
Edd then returned to Maine where he worked briefly for CashStar (Nov 2012 - Mar 2013) and Maine Department of Vital Statistics (Aug 2013 - Mar 2014).
Edd is now working as a Database Developer for Emdeon in Augusta, Maine.
Edd has two sons, Eddie and Chris, and six grandchildren, Macey, Kayla, Marico, Madison, Tiana, and Peyton.
