Ousby is a village and civil parish in Eden District, in the English county of Cumbria. It is a Thankful Village, one of 52 parishes in England and Wales that suffered no casualties during World War I. The parish has a population of 362,[1] and includes Melmerby and the hamlets of Crewgarth, Row, Shire and Townhead.

Ousby has a pub called the Fox Inn, a camp site and two places of worship, one in Row and one in Townhead, one of which is called St Luke's Church.

Location[]

Ousby is located about 1 mile (1.6 km) south of the village of Melmerby, near the A686 road. There is a fell in the Pennines named Ousby Fell.
