He married Ann Jane Smythe (1843-1916) 27 May 1864 in West Maitland, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary
Mr. Patrick Henry, an old resident of the Maitland district, died at his residence, George-st., E. Maitland, Wednesday afternoon. He was 80 years of age and was born in Glasgow, Scotland, but had lived in New South Wales for 74 years, the greater part of which was spent around these parts. In his younger days Mr. Henry took a great interest in various branches of sport, being a competitor himself in some. Many years ago he was licensee of the Volunteer Hotel, West Maitland, since when his time had been mostly spent on the land and amongst stock. He leaves eight sons and one daughter. The funeral took place on Thursday, the interment being made in the East Maitland cemetery.
