Perlina Jane Allred was born 17 May 1833 in Monroe County, Missouri, United States to William Hackley Allred (1804-1890) and Elizabeth Ivie (1807-1870) and died 31 January 1910 Spring City, Sanpete County, Utah, United States of unspecified causes.
Biography
Perlina Jane Allred was fifth child and third daughter born to William Hackley Allred and Elizabeth Ivie Allred. She was born May 17, 1833, in Monroe County, Missouri. She is listed in Texas on the 1860 Federal Census with her parents. Sometime after this census, she married Robert H. Coy from Kentucky. He is listed on the 1860 Federal Census in Grayson County, Texas, living with his sister, Rebecca Wall, her husband, M.W. Wall, and their five children. Marriage records are not found, but Paulina Coy was listed as administrix of his estate in Grayson County, October 26, 1863. Her name was spelled a variety of ways on documents. Her father wrote her name as Purlina in 1888. Other records use Purline, Paulina or Polina. However, both her death certificate and gravestone spell her name as Pearlina.
After her mother, Elizabeth Ivie Allred, died in Grayson County in 1870,she moved to Spring City, Utah, about 1874 with her father and older brother, Wilson Monroe Allred. She later became the fourth wife of her Uncle James Tillman Sanford Allred. He was a veteran of the Mexican War, Iowa Volunteers (Mormon Battalion). They were married by Daniel H. Wells, November 29, 1875, in the Salt Lake City Endowment House. Paulina Jane Coy was listed as wife of James T.S. Allred when he applied for his Mexican War pension. He died in 1905. She died January 31, 1910, in Spring City.
