Captain Peter Rice was born 24 October 1648 in Sudbury, Middlesex County, Massachusetts to Thomas Rice (1626-1681) and Mary King (1629-1714) and died 28 November 1753 Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts of unspecified causes. He married Rebecca Howe (1668-1749) 1689 in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
Biography
Peter Rice of Marlboro was captain of the trainband (local militia garrison) and member of the committee of safety in 1711. He designated the garrison houses in that town, and the heads of families that were to belong to them respectively, or resort to them in case of emergency.
