Phebe Ann Morton was born 28 March 1786 in Utica, Oneida County, New York to Abraham Morton (1763-1839) and Phebe Langford (1761-1845) and died 15 November 1854 Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah of unspecified causes. She married James Williams Angell (1776-1851) 1802 in New York.

Biography

Her name may be Phebe Ann Morton Angell Young since she and her daughter Jemima were married to Brigham Young on the same day, January 28, 1846. The article about the discovery of her remains in a family garden plot and reburial identified her as Phebe Ann Morton. The property previously belonged to her son, Truman O. Angell. Her body was identified by her great grandson Richard Young who knew of the burial.

28 Feb 1846 at Nauvoo, Illinois, Phebe Morton (aged 59),widow of James W. Angel, was sealed to Angel for eternity and Young for time.
