Signer of the Declaration of Independence of the State of New Hampshire, Winchester, New Hampshire, 3 June 1776.

Committee Member; "To see if the town (Winchester, Cheshire Co.) would provide a convenient stock of powder and lead." "To see if the people will concur with what our Provincial Congress has done in bearing our proportion of money in support of the war" 12 May 1775.


Research Notes

Note: This Philip Goss was the cousin of Philip Goss the Captian. They were not the same person. The cousin married Keziah Cooley. There has been some confusion with these two as they were the same age and the same name. This Philip was the son of John Goss. The other Philip was the son of Philip Goss Jr.
