The Principality of Yuryev (Principality of Yuryev-Polsky) (1213 - about 1340) is an Old Russian principality, separated from Grand Principality of Vladimir-Suzdal in 1213 , during the period of feudal disunity in Russia. The allotted princedom was given to Prince Svyatoslav - the son of Vsevolod III Yuryevich. In 1228, it was annexed to the possessions of the Princes of Vladimir-Suzdal, but in 1248 it regained its independence.
The Principality of Yuryev was extremely insignificant and usually acted as an ally of Grand Princes of Vladimir [1].
It was founded in 1213 by Prince Svyatoslav III Vsevolodovich.
Around 1340 it was annexed to the Moscow Principality [1].
