Rainer Joseph von Österreich was born 30 September 1783 in Pisa, Italy to Leopold II von Habsburg-Lothringen (1747-1792) and Maria Luisa de España (1745-1792) and died 16 January 1853 Bolzano, South Tyrol, Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, Italy of unspecified causes. He married Maria Elisabetta di Savoia (1800-1856) 28 May 1820 in Prague, Czech Republic.
