Richard Adams was born 19 April 1651 in Scituate, Plymouth County, Massachusetts to James Adams (1626-1653) and Frances Vassall (1622-1673) and died 24 August 1728 Norwich, New London County, Connecticut of unspecified causes. He married Rebecca Davis (1658-) 24 June 1679 in Sudbury, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
Richard Adams fought in King Philip's War. He was in 2nd Co Mass. Volunteer from Sudbury Mass under Capt Moseley. He was at the Battle of Bloody Brook 9-18-1675. He was wounded at Swamp Fort Battle in RI 12-19-1675 against King Phillip-Narraganset Indians.
Richard and Rebecca had six children all in Sudbury, Massachusetts, and all moved to Preston, Norwich, Connecticut around 1700. He apparently had four more children, for his will lists ten children!
