Biography
Richard Bayley was born 15 July 1745 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States to William Bayley (c1708-c1758) and Susannah LeConte (c1727-) and died 17 August 1801 Yonkers, Westchester County, New York, United States of yellow fever. He married Catherine Charlton (1746-1777) 9 January 1769 in Elizabeth, Union County, New Jersey, United States. He married Charlotte Amelia Barclay (1759-1805) 16 June 1778 in New York City, New York County, New York, United States.
He was a prominent New York City physician and the first chief health officer of the city.
