He married Orabel de Quincy (-c1258) .

"Sir Richard de Harcourt, eldest son and heir of the aforesaid William, Lord of Stanton-Harcourt, Ellenhall, etc. Married Orabella, daughter of Sayer (or Robert, according to the Visitation of Staffordshire, annd 1583), de Quincy, Constable of Scotland, Earl of WInchester, etc. by Margaret his wife, sister and coheir of Robart (Fitz-Parnel), Earl of Leicester, and before narrated. He had the manors of Bosworth, Elstow, or Ailston, Charnwood, etc.; in com. Leicest. in marriage with the said Orabella, who bore to him two sons and a daughter; viz. Sir William, his successor; Seyer de Harcourt, who joined Simon Montfort, Earl of Leicester, against King Henry III. and being taken at the battle of Evesham, August 6th, 1266, died in confinement and disseised of his lands, the same year; Maud, the wife of Sir Giles Peneston, Knt. Sir Richard died in 1258, and was succeeded by his eldest son."
