Biography
The Daniel's, Robert, Elizabeth and the three children, Samuel, Elizabeth and THomas, all emigrated to New England in about 1636. They followed in the footsteps of Robert's brother-in-law, Joseph Morse, who must assuredly wrote them about conditions in the new world and help them to settle in Watertown, Massachusetts after their arrival.

The town was first known as Saltonstall Plantation, one of the earliest of the Massachusetts Bay Colony settlements. Founded in early 1630 by a group of settlers led by Richard Saltonstall and George Phillips, it was officially incorporated that same year. The alternate spelling "Waterton" is seen in some early documents.
