Biography
Robert Darcy, 4th Earl of Holderness, 8th Lord Conyers, 11th Lord Darcy de Knayth, Count of Mértola, was born 17 May 1718 to Robert Darcy, 3rd Earl of Holdernesse (1681-1722) and Frederica Susanna Schomberg (c1687-1751) and died 16 May 1778 of unspecified causes. He married Mary Doublet (c1721-1801) 29 October 1743 .
On his death, his earldom became extinct. His daughter inherited the Baronies by Writ, and the Portuguese countship of Mértola.
