Robert De Wintona
Sex: male
Birth: c1100

From the book: A genealogical and heraldic history of the commoners of Great Britain Robert De Wintona, or Winchstria, came into Glomorganshire with Robert Fitzhamon: He was lord of the manor of Languian, near Cowbridge, and built a castle there, the ruins of which are still extant; the valley, underneath, is called Pant Wilkyn (Wilkyn's Vale) to this day. De Wintona and Fitzhamon were of Norman linage. Researchers claim that the surnames, Wilkins, Wilkinson, Wilkenson, Wilkerson, Wilkason, and other similar spellings in England are traced back to the root names of: Winton, Wintona, and Wilkyn.
