"Robert Napier was served heir-general of his father, 22d October, 1644, and in the following year made up titles to the different lands. He married Katherine Haldane, and died in 1659, leaving issue, four sons and one daughter--

- James who had Auchendonarie from his father in 1659 and died unmarried.
- Robert, who, in 1669, succeeded his brother James in Auchendonarie.
- Peter, whose son, John, a marchant in Glasgow, had a natural son, Peter who purchased Napierton, and Auchendonarie from George Napier, No. XIV in our line. This Peter sold Auchendonarie, and was succeeded in Napierton by his son John, who sold the lands to Campbell of Stonefield.
- Anne, who married John Maxwell of Blackstone."
