Robert Stewart, 1st Earl of Orkney, was born 1533 to James V of Scotland (1512-1542) and Euphemia Elphinstone (1509-aft1541) and died 4 February 1593 of unspecified causes. He married Janet Kennedy (c1542-1598) 14 December 1561 JL in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, United Kingdom.
