Søndre Trondhjems amt was an Norwegian amt that was established in 1804 by dividing Trondhjems amt into two: Søndre Trondhjems amt and Nordre Trondhjems amt.[1][2]
From 1 January 1919 , the amt was renamed Sør-Trøndelag county.
