Nunn, born September 8, 1938, is an American lawyer, politician; serving as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives and a United States Senator from Georgia. He is the great-nephew of the United States Congressman Carl Vinson (1883-1981) and a fourth cousin of U.S. President Jimmy Carter (1924).
