Sgt. Samuel Sprague, Sr. was born 24 May 1640 in HIngham, Plymouth County, Massachusetts to William Sprague (1609-1675) and Millicent Eames (1615-1696) and died 1710 Hingham, Plymouth County, Massachusetts of unspecified causes. He married Sarah Chillingsworth (1642-1725) 1665 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
Biography
Sargent Samuel Sprague in 1667 was a surveyor of highways and later held important town offices 63 times. He was chosen in 1686 to be secretary of the Plymouth Colony. In 1710 his estate following his death was divided among his eight children.
