Sarah Allerton Lee was born circa 1657 in Westmoreland, Westmoreland County, Virginia, United States to Isaac Allerton (1628-1701) and Elizabeth Willoughby (1635-1672) and died 17 May 1731 Ditchley, Northumberland County, Virginia, United States of unspecified causes. She married Hancock Lee (1650-1709) 1695 in Northumberland County, Virginia, United States.
Lee's younger brother Hancock (1652–1709)[30] married Allerton's daughter Sarah (1670–1731) following the death of Hancock's first wife. They became the great-grandparents of President Zachary Taylor,[31][32][33][34] through their daughter Elizabeth Lee and grandson Colonel Richard Taylor, an officer in the Continental Army in the American Revolutionary War.[
