Sophia Stephenson was born 29 November 1868 in Crookwell, New South Wales, Australia to Benjamin Stephenson (1824-1883) and Hannah Warn (1827-1881) and died 30 October 1938 "Brooklands", Crookwell, New South Wales, Australia of unspecified causes. She married George Edward Charnock (1868-1929) 21 January 1891 in Crookwell, New South Wales, Australia.

Obituary
Mrs. Sophia Charnock, who passed away at her residence at Brooklands, on October 30 at the age of 69 years, left a grown-up family of eight sons and three daughters.
They are: Messrs. Edward (Brooklands), Alick (Erskineville), George (Crookwell), Graham (Grifllths), Ken (Crookwell), Innes (Goulburn), Jack and Colin (Crookwell), and Mesdames Sinclair ( Erskineville), Sullivan (Goulburn), Wittwer (Crookwell).
One son and her husband predeceased her by a number of years.
The funeral moved from St. Bartholomew's Church, Crookwell, on Tuesday, November 1, Rev. S. G. Davis conducting the service at the church and the graveside.
Many beautiful wreaths were forwarded by relatives and friends, bearing evidence of the, sympathy felt for the bereaved family,
Mr T. E. Kennedy carried out the funeral arrangements.
