Princess Sophie of Greece and Denmark was born 26 June 1914 in Villa Mon-Repos, Corfu, Kerkira, Ionian Islands, Greece to Andrew of Greece and Denmark (1882-1944) and Alice Mountbatten (1885-1969) and died 24 November 2001 Schilersee, Miesbach, Bavaria, Germany of unspecified causes. She married Christopher Ernst August von Hessen (1901-1943) 15 December 1930 in Kronberg im Taunus, Hochtaunuskreis, Hesse, Germany. She married George WIlhelm of Hanover (1915-2006) 23 April 1946 in Salem, Bden-Wurttemberg, Germany.
