Svyatopolk Yuryevich of Turov (c1147-1190)
Biography
Son of Yuri Yaroslavich of Turov and Anna Vsevolodovna of Goroden.
In 1157, on the instructions of Yaroslav Osmomysl, he went to Yuri Dolgoruky to intercede for Ivan Rostislavich Berladnik, who was imprisoned. Yuri sent Berladnik to Suzdal
In 1161 he participated in a campaign against . In 1168, he participated along with other princes in a major campaign against the Polovtsians , supported Mstislav Izyaslavich in the struggle against Andrei of Bogolyubovo, then moved to the side of Andrei against Ivan Rostislavich Berladnik (1173).
In 1173 he asked to return to Olga Yuryevna, Yaroslav Osmomysl's wife, who fled with her son Vladimir to Poland.
In 1182 Vladimir fled again from his father and after other attempts, asked Svyatopolk to help him, which Svyatopolk refused.
He died in 1190 and was buried in the Saint Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery of Kiev
