Familypedia

I come from the perspective of little flags next to graves in cemeteries and trying to create a framework for people to find their old navy buddies, for example. Other aspects of categories which may be of use to genealogists are beyond the scope of this user. Nevertheless, I hope this framework is helpful to all. Zephyrinus 22:13, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Too general or not enough?[]

I disagree that "Words like "burial" and "personnel" at a category level are (generally) redundant for this Wikia"

Some of those categories are far too big to be useful if they contain every page that deals with every aspect of the subject. U.S. Army personnel are people (whose relatives may wish to link them to the army even if they did not have an army burial - as with that RAAF man), whereas U.S. Army burials happen to people but are actions connected with places.

I expect you should rename some of your categories (using words such as "burials") before they get taken over by people wanting to use them as if their names were properly used!

Wikipedia category names are useful[]

By 2013, saome of us are using them extensively. This page might be best used for noting where we depart from Wikipedia.

Category:Images of gravestones should definitely be on the list.
