Not instant[]

A quick look at {{couple ancestors}} would show tech-savvy people that it works with Property:Descendants. That is a recursive property. In order to update the results if any changes are made to the linkages or to the names of any of the common ancestors, you need to resave the sensor pages of the couple concerned, their relevant parents, grandparents, and so on until you have done everybody in each chain. In an extreme case, such a common ancestor may have existed under four different names and, because the template does not follow redirects, each of them will appear in the list of common ancestors. Should go below Template:Footer[]

This should go below Template:Footer in case it produces no content (as noted above); otherwise it leaves an absurdly large white space above "Sources and notes". -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 12:41, April 8, 2013 (UTC)

Where is it working?[]

I would like to see this actually working (again?). "What links here" is no help, because it starts with Eve, which obviously won't work, and there are so many pages that have the template without the couple ancestors that it's soul-destroying trying to find one that works. Can someone offer a working example? -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 20:57, January 26, 2017 (UTC)
