Deacon Thomas Currier was born 8 March 1646 in Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts to Richard Currier (1616-1686) and Ann Goodale (1617-1675) and died 27 September 1712 Amesbury, Essex County, Massachusetts of unspecified causes. He married Mary Osgood (1650-1705) 9 December 1668 in Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.
Thomas succeeded his father as town clerk in 1674, a job he held until his death. He was a selectman for 17 years and held many other local offices.Thomas signed a petition in behalf of Mrs. Mary Challis of Amesbury 14 Mar. 1710/1 and was commissioned to sell some of her land for her maintenance. He was also made administrator and overseer of the estate of Lt. Philip Watson Challis 6 June 1711. Mary's father, William, deeded to her one fourth of his interest in his saw-mill in Salisbury in 1697.
