Arrival in Anne Arundel County, Maryland[]

A number of genealogies claim that Thomas Parsons arrived in Maryland in 1649.

Marriage[]

Thomas married a woman by the name of Isabella. Isabella was a widow of a Holland. The marriage probably took place around the year 1660 in either Anne Arundel or Harford County, Maryland.

Land Purchases in 1663[]

On July 10, 1663, Thomas surveyed 50 acres in West River Hundred called Thomas' Neck, in the great swamp. On July 11, 1663, he surveyed 150 acres called Parson's Hill. Later he sold this land to Peter Allemby.[2]

Death[]

Thomas’s will was dated October 10, 1683 and was proved May 31, 1684.[3]

Legacy[]

Thomas Parsons is an ancestor of astronaut John Glenn.
