Biography

Thomas Plantagenet, 2nd Earl of Lancaster, 2nd Earl of Leicester, Earl Ferrers of Derby, 4th Earl of Lincoln, was born circa 1277 to Edmund Crouchback, 1st Earl of Lancaster (1245-1296) and Blanche of Artois (1248-1302) and died 22 March 1322 Pontefract, Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom of execution by beheading. He married Alice de Lacy (1281-1348) 28 October 1294 JL . A member of the House of Plantagenet, he was one of the leaders of the baronial opposition to his first cousin, Edward II of England.
