Biography
Thomas Robert Keppel was born 17 January 1811 to William Charles Keppel, 4th Earl of Albemarle (1772-1849) and Elizabeth Southwell (1776-1817) and died 20 April 1863 of unspecified causes. He married Frances Barrett-Lennard (1809-1890) 28 March 1833 .
It is said that the hero of Mr. Midshipman Easy, the 1836 novel by Frederick Marryat, is based on his early life.
