Thomas Samuel Ashe was born 21 July 1812 in Hawfields, Alamance County, North Carolina, United States to Pascal Paoli Ashe (1791-1867) and Eliza Jane Shepherd Strudwick (1794-1871) and died 4 February 1887 Wadesboro, Anson County, North Carolina, United States of unspecified causes. He married Caroline Altheia Burgwin (1814-1894) 13 June 1837 .
