He married Jane Mealing (c1766-1829) 18 September 1792 in St.Thomas a Becket Church, Pucklechurch, Bristol, England, United Kingdom.
The marriage record of Thomas Stickler, born about 1760, shows he came from the parish of Yate, a village five miles (8 km) north of Pucklechurch in Gloucestershire. His Baptism is shown as Castle Combe, Wiltshire, about ten miles (16 km) East of Yate.
Thomas married Jane Mealing on 18 September 1792 at the St.Thomas à Becket Church in Pucklechurch. The marriage record was signed by Jane Mealing and the mark 'X' of Thomas Stickler. Thomas and Jane had two sons, James born on 28 July 1793 and Charles born on 15 March 1807.
Jane Mealing was born about 1766 to the prominent and well-established Mealing family of Pucklechurch, England. Little is known her other than from her marriage record she was literate and able to write.
Thomas died in Pucklechurch on 16 June 1838 at age seventy eight; and Jane died on 22 November 1829 in Pucklechurch at age sixty three.
