Tobias Brunswik von Korompa was born circa 1590 in Hlohovec, Slovakia (Holy Roman Empire) and died circa 1670 Hlohovec, Slovakia (Holy Roman Empire) of unspecified causes. He married Katharina Viczkovszky (c1600-c1643) . He married Katharina Straniczny (c1610-c1680) .

Tobias Brunswik attended the gymnasium of the city of Galgóc (Hlohovec) from 1606 to 1612 and then attended the University of Wittenberg. On December 15, 1617 he was ordered pastor in the city of Szered (now Sered in Slovakia and was posted in his hometown of Galgóc. He also became the house preacher of count Stanislas Thurzó de Bethlenfalva, Palatine of Hungary.

On May 1620, in Szered, Tobias Brunswik was elected general superintendent of the Evangelic Church of Hungary. He gave up this responsibility in 1629

The letters of nobility and his coat of arms were renewed in Nyitra (now Nitra, Slovakia).
