Valmore Augustus Whitaker was born 14 March 1835 in North Adams, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, United States to Ezra Douglas Whitaker (1797-1889) and Amanda M Jones (1804-1875) and died 23 June 1919 North Adams, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, United States of unspecified causes. He married Sara Reins (-1871) 1867 . He married Emma Louise Beckwith (c1842-1904) December 1873 .
Valmore Augustus Whitaker (born March 14, 1835) was an American businessman and politician who served as a member and President of the city council[2] and as the Acting Mayor of North Adams, Massachusetts.
1905 election for mayor
In 1905 Whitaker was the Republican candidate for mayor, he lost to the Incumbent Mayor Marshall R. Ford.[3]
