Biography
Son of Konstantin Chartorysky, great-grandson of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas.
In 1393, in the service at the court of Prince Jagiello , owned Logoisk .
Vasili Konstantinovich received the town of Chartorysk with its surroundings in Volhynia and he was the first to be called Prince Chartorysky, transferring this title to his descendants.
His wife was an unknown Anna. Three sons were born in this marriage:
- Ivan Vasilyevich Chartorysky (c1400-1460)
- Aleksandr Vasilyevich Chartorysky (c1405-c1478), governor of Pskov (1443-1447) and (1456-1460), in Veliky Novgorod (1447-1456)
- Mikhail Vasilyevich Chartorysky (c1410-1489)
