Burial record of Apolinario Juanico y Balderas, son of Doña Lucia Balderas and Don Tomas Juanico. The record is dated 30 June 1910, entry n. 7 of the Burial Registry (1910 to 1935) at the Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery of Banate, Iloilo in the Philippines.

Information about Don Vicente Balderas can be found in two extant documents in the canonical books of the Roman Catholic Parish of Banate, Iloilo (Philippines): The first, is the burial record of his grandson, Don Apolinario Juanico y Balderas, who died at the age of 80 years old and was buried in the Catholic Cemetery of Banate, Iloilo (Philippines), on 30 June 1910. The data can be found on entry n. 7 of the Burial Registry (1910 to 1935) of the Parish. It indicates that he was born to Don Tomas Juanico (a Gobernadorcillo of Banate) and Doña Lucia Balderas who, as the document attests was daughter of Don Vicente Balderas and his wife Doña Tiburcia. The document is silent about the surname of Don Vicente’s wife. Thus, she is always referred to in the family genealogy of their descendants as Tiburcia Balderas.

Burial Registry of Matea Balderas y Baviera, 51 years old, dated 27 October 1918, page 52 of the Burial Registry (1910 to 1935) at the Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery of Banate, Iloilo in the Philippines.

The other document is the burial record of Matea Balderas y Baviera, also a granddaughter of Don Vicente and Doña Tiburcia Balderas. Her parents were Don Martin Balderas (a Gobernadorcillo of Banate) and Doña Apolonia Baviera y Barte, granddaughter of Don Felix Baviera, the first Gobernadorcillo of Banate in 1837. Matea died at the age of 51 years old and was buried in the Catholic Cemetery of Banate, on 27 October 1918. The record is found on page 52 of the Burial Registry (1910 to 1935) of the Parish. Consequently, this record affirms that Don Martin and Doña Lucia are siblings – children of Don Vicente and Doña Tiburcia Balderas.

Calculating from the number of generations and the data about the age of his grandchildren on their death, it seems that Don Vicente was born sometime after the Moro incursion in Banate, in the year 1764. He and Don Felix Baviera, the first Gobernadorcillo of Banate in 1837, were contemporaries. Although Don Felix, whose granddaughter Apolonia married Don Vicente's son Don Martin Balderas, is a generation older. Don Vicente appears to be among the first generation of descendants of survivors to have resettled the town of Banate on its way to recovery as a Spanish pueblo after it was sacked by the marauders from Mindanao.

The names of the known descendants of Don Vicente and Doña Tiburcia are recorded in the genealogy of the descendants of these two issues of the couple. No other available information indicates that they have other children.
