Vsevolod I Yaroslavich Rurik of Smolensk, Prince of Smolensk, was born 1036 in Kiev, Ukraine to Yaroslav I Vladimirovich of Kiev (c978-1054) and Ingegerd Olofsdotter of Sweden (1001-1050) and died 1057 of unspecified causes. He married Oda of Stade (c1036-c1075) .
Vyacheslav Yaroslavich was probably born in Kiev in 1036,[1] where he lived until the age of majority. In 1054, after the death of Yaroslav he received the Principality of Smolensk. However, Vyacheslav died three years later.
Marriage and children
It is not clear whether Vyacheslav married or not. According to N. Karamzin , Vyacheslav was married to Oda , the daughter of Count Leopold of Stade (c9971020-c1065) [2]. However, there are other versions of marriage Oda, whose husband's name is not mentioned, it is known only that she was married for the "King of Russia". According to research by historian A. V. Nazarenko husband Oda was not Vyacheslav and his older brother Svyatoslav [3]..
There are no direct sources regarding Vyacheslav's children, but according to N. M Karamzin he had a son Boris Vyacheslavich who claimed the principality of Chernigov in 1077 and died in 1078.
