Waleran de Beaumont, 1st Earl of Worcester, Count of Beaumont-le-Roger, Count of Meulan, Lord of Port-Audemer, Lord of Fresnes, was born 1104 to Robert de Beaumont (1049-1118) and Elizabeth de Vermandois (c1081-1131) and died 9 April 1166 Normandy, France of unspecified causes. He married Agnès de Montfort (-1181) .
- Orderic Vitalis records a revolt, apparently in Normandy in Sept 1123 against the rule of Anglo-Norman King Henry I of England, led by Waleran de Beaumont, 1st Earl of Worcester (1104-1166), with support from his three brothers-in-laws a Hugues de Montfort, William II Lovel d'Ivry (c1095-1163) and Hugh II de Chateauneuf (1098-1169) and other Norman barons. This revolt was decisively defeated at the Battle of Bourgtheroulde fought on 26-Mar-1124 near Roeun, Normandy. Waleran was known to spend time in an English prison afterwards.
