Walter Devereux, 1st Viscount Hereford, 9th Baron Ferrers of Chartley, was born 1488 to John Devereux, 8th Baron Ferrers of Chartley (1464-1501) and Cecily Bourchier (-1493) and died 17 February 1558 of unspecified causes. He married Mary Grey (1491-1538) 15 December 1503 ^JL .
