Westwoud is a town in the Netherlands. It is located in the province of North Holland, the region of West Friesland, and the municipality of Drechterland, about 4 km northeast of Hoorn.
He received city rights in 1414. It was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1979, when it became a part of Bangert.[1]
