Death[]
He died on August 24, 1858 and he was buried on August 26, 1858 in Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn in the family plot at section 34, lot 6827.
Shoe store[]
His name still appeared in the 1860 Manhattan City Directory for his shoe store at 146 Spring Street. Charlotte, continued to work in the store and appears in the City Directory as a widow at the same location up until the 1866 Directory. In 1864 she was joined by Charles Ensko and William Ensko.
Widow[]
In 1870 Charlotte, now a widow, married Albert Moore, a cablecar conductor.
