"William Gardner--Born: May 22, 1846 while the family was crossing Iowa on the way to Utah. Died: Feb. 4, 1932, St. George, Utah. Son of Robert and Jane McKeown Gardner Jr. Married Mary Almeda Burgess 1st. Married Mary Jane Thomas 2nd.
Was counselor to Bishop Fred Jones in Pine Valley 1880 to 1884. April 1884 was called on a mission to New Zealand. He was bishop of Pine Valley from Dec. 1886 until he was called on the 2nd Mission....Nov. 1913 he was made president of the New Zealand mission."
