Whilst driving a sulky from Binnaway to his home on Boxing Day, William Hadfield, 87, was thrown out, fracturing his neck. The body was taken to the Binnaway Hospital by the District Ambulance and later conveyed to the morgue at the Coonabarabran Hospital. The funeral took place at Coonabarabran on Saturday morning. The deceased was well-known in the Binnaway district.
